Eye exam<\/h2>\n
Truck drivers must have at least 20\/40 vision<\/a> in each eye.<\/p>\n
Hearing test<\/h2>\n

Marijuana, Cocaine, <\/span>Amphetamines (methamphetamine, amphetamine, MDMA or MDA), <\/span>Opiates (heroin, oxycodone, hydrocodone, morphine, codeine, oxymorphone, hydromorphone), <\/span>Phencyclidine (PCP)<\/span><\/p>\n
Drivers may be disqualified for using any other scheduled drug, including amphetamines, benzodiazepines and other drugs that generate dependence or narcotics.<\/p>\n
Urine test<\/h2>\n
Urinalysis can identify kidney disease or diabetes. <\/span>A DOT drug test also checks for recent use of the following illicit substances: <\/span>Marijuana, Cocaine, Amphetamines (methamphetamine, amphetamine, MDMA or MDA), Opiates (heroin, oxycodone, hydrocodone, morphine, codeine, oxymorphone, hydromorphone), Phencyclidine (PCP).<\/span><\/p>\n

Neurological examination<\/h2>\n
A neurological examination<\/u><\/b> to evaluate reflexes and coordination. Epilepsy or other seizure disorder disqualifies the driver.<\/span><\/p>\n
Commercial truck drivers and hidden medical problems<\/h2>\n
As we will see in another blog post, some drivers hide medical problems in order to pass the medical exam. These drivers are breaking the law and endangering the public.<\/p>\n
